Brian Wright Music Director
Brian Wright studied as a Gulbenkian scholar in London and Munich, and with George Hurst, Jascha Horenstein and Rudolf Kempe. He won the Silver Medal in the Guido Cantelli Conducting Competition at La Scala, Milan, and second prize in the Rupert Foundation Competition with the London Symphony Orchestra. He was Assistant to André Previn and the LSO and Associate Conductor to the BBC, conducting concerts and broadcasts with all the BBC’s orchestras.
Stephen Jones Accompanist and Assistant Conductor
Stephen Jones studied piano at London’s Trinity
College of Music with John Bingham and singing with John Huw Davies.
Over the years he has sung with the London Sinfonietta, St Paul’s Cathedral choir, Collegium Musicum of London, and the choir of St Peter’s Eaton Square, as well as being an Evangelist and oratorio soloist. He is Music Director of the City Chamber Choir and Aeolian Singers, and is widely experienced as an accompanist, chorus master and continuo player.
